“From fire to table” this is how ARCA Tulum defines themselves.
The Arca, Tulum has a very seasonal menu, they have themed their menu around the fauna and flora that surrounds them. They claim that their menu has been tailored around the roots and traditions of Mexico, with bold and bursting flavors.
The restaurant is known for its open fire cooking. Also, their open fire option is available with all food varieties. Their dishes are designed for sharing.
Locals love the restaurant, they swear by the food and hospitality. Arca calls it home, in the heart of the jungle.
Back Bar
Arca has a beautiful set up, with a fully stocked bar as well. The bar’s open from 6pm to 2 am, from Tuesday to Sunday. It doesn’t takes reservations, which makes it great for walk-ins.
Arca’s bar is their latest addition, which was installed in summer 2018. The bar was made in contrast with the serene restaurant – it’s lively, stays open a couple of hours after midnight, and has a variety of cocktails.

The restaurant has great style, with seats under palm trees, giving it the ultimate beach feel. Their owner hails from San Francisco, and has a friendly staff who might hand out complementary food.

Arca’s owner hails from San Francisco, and he has built an incredible scene in Tulum. The owner seamlessly blends in the restaurant to make it an icon for Mexican cuisine.
Nothing out of the ordinary has been added to it, the restaurant’s designed to take full advantage of its surroundings.
Conclusion
Arca Tulum should definitely be on your “to drink” and “to eat” list. The restaurant has the perfect ambience and very authentic Mexican food.
Their bar is solid to grab a late night drink as well. Just keep in mind that they’re closed Monday, so make sure to stop by on a different evening.
