JM Cellars – Kirkwood, Washington

JM Cellars has outstanding wines – they have single varietals and blends, ensuring that everyone will find several wines that they enjoy. The wines are all balanced and each are reasonably priced for the quality that you pay for. You will get six or seven tastings while you are there, and they encourage you to take your time and walk around to enjoy their outdoors. You won’t feel rushed at this venue, and we encourage that you take your time.

The service at JM Cellars was among the best on this side of Lake Washington. Each of the servers knew their wines and were knowledgeable about the grapes, the vineyards, and their wine process. Even the founders John and Margaret (J & M) were there hosting barrel tastings, checking in on our experience, and making sure we feel welcomed.

Outdoors

The outdoor experience is excellent. The first thing you’ll notice at JM Cellars is their a signature door, which everybody needs to have a picture in front of.

JM Cellars’ has a little walking path down the back of the hill that is pleasant to walk down during your tasting. There is a horseshoe pit and bocce court just outside with a tasting room that. They also had a generous charcuterie platter and a large wood-burning fire that made the whole experience feel welcoming and intimate.

Indoors

Finally, the indoors at JM Cellars are fantastic as well. They have a standing bar with stool seating in three different rooms to give you plenty of space. Their lighting is excellent throughout the rooms, and they have several additional rooms to relax and play billiards.

If you ever go wine tasting this side of Lake Washington, JM Cellars needs to be one of the places you visit. With all of their outdoor views and activities,  weddings and events are fantastic as well.
